Advanced Underwater Compositing
Project Description
For this Advanced Asset Creation assignment, I designed and composited an underwater scene using multiple high-resolution images and advanced Photoshop techniques. I began with nine thumbnail sketches to explore composition and mood, then selected 3–5 source images to integrate into a unified underwater environment. Using adjustment layers, masks, nondestructive workflows, generative fill, and various filters, I created a high-quality 11x17 composite that incorporated realistic lighting, tonal contrast, and atmospheric underwater effects.
Fulfilling Objective 3
This project required me to compose a visually cohesive underwater environment using professional compositing techniques. By controlling lighting, tonal contrast, depth cues, and atmospheric effects, I created a scene that demonstrates strong visual composition and a clear understanding of how lighting and shading shape mood and focus. The final composite reflects industry-quality standards in digital imagery, showcasing my ability to craft polished, intentional visuals using current and emerging tools.
