Project 1: DVA110 Final Project
This project involved designing a complete 3D stage environment based on an analyzed scene, including its mood, symbolism, and narrative focus. I researched visual themes, built a full environment model, and created multiple lighting looks that evolve to support emotional shifts in the scene. The final presentation includes a detailed cue sheet, lighting plot, and thematic breakdown, showcasing my ability to combine environmental design with intentional, professional lighting techniques to tell a visual story.
Music Video Lighting
For this project, I designed a lighting plot for a pre-existing music video, using the song’s narrative, themes, and visual elements as the foundation for my creative decisions. Rather than recreating the original lighting, I developed an alternative lighting approach that supports the emotional arc of the music and enhances key story moments. I focused on how color, intensity, and light placement influence mood, rhythm, and visual emphasis, ensuring the lighting design aligned with both the music and the video’s storytelling. This project demonstrates my ability to analyze visual media, interpret narrative themes, and translate creative intent into a cohesive lighting design.

CATS Musical Stage Concept
For this personal concept project, I designed an original stage layout inspired by CATS: The Musical, reimagining the environment while maintaining the spirit and theatrical storytelling of the original production. This project was created independently as a creative exercise to explore spatial design, visual cohesion, and narrative atmosphere. I focused on how set layout, scale, and visual elements can support performance, movement, and tone within a theatrical space. This concept demonstrates my ability to plan and visualize stage environments, think through design choices independently, and translate creative ideas into a cohesive visual concept.
