Final Podcast: Radio Show
Project Description
For my final project in DVA140: Audio Fundamentals, I produced a complete 10-minute radio show designed to replicate a professional broadcast segment. Working independently, I planned the show’s structure, wrote and recorded the talk blocks, selected and edited music clips, and delivered both the assigned PSA and a community event segment. I also created the required supporting materials—including a hot clock, station introduction, and fictional DJ bios—to mirror real industry documentation. The final program was mixed and timed precisely to meet the exact 10-minute requirement, showcasing strong technical and organizational audio production skills.
Fulfilling Objective 1
This project required me to follow strict, industry-style broadcast guidelines and deliver a complete, polished audio program within a defined timeline. Working independently, I interpreted the assignment brief as professional client requirements and translated them into a fully produced radio segment that met all content, timing, and formatting expectations. By planning, recording, editing, and organizing the show—and preparing the accompanying documentation—I demonstrated the ability to create a client-ready media project tailored to a specific delivery medium.
Fulfilling Objective 6
This project required me to record, edit, and mix multiple forms of audio—including spoken dialogue, music clips, and a prewritten PSA—into a polished, cohesive 10-minute broadcast. I balanced levels, managed transitions, and ensured clarity across all audio elements, resulting in a fully integrated final mix suitable for a professional radio-style production. By assembling diverse audio components into one seamless program, I demonstrated the ability to create high-quality mixed audio for digital media.
