30-Second Spot

Project Description
This 30-second PSA was created for DVA101: Digital Film Fundamentals as an early introduction to the full production pipeline. Over the course of roughly 11 days, I completed all stages of the project—from pre-production planning to filming and post-production editing. This assignment helped me build foundational production skills and begin producing higher-quality, professional content under a tight deadline.
Fulfilling Objective 1
This project demonstrates my ability to work within a defined timeline while managing all stages of production from planning to delivery. By completing pre-production, filming, and post-production in just 11 days, I was able to meet project goals, follow industry-standard processes, and deliver a polished final piece—showcasing effective workflow management and professional production skills.
Fulfilling Objective 2
This project required me to understand the technical needs of a short-form video and make deliberate choices about the tools and methods used in production. Throughout the process, I selected appropriate camera settings, lighting setups, and audio equipment to match the tone and clarity needed for a polished 30-second PSA. By planning my shots in pre-production and adjusting my tools during filming to achieve the intended visual and narrative result, I demonstrated a solid understanding of how technical specifications support effective media creation.
Fulfilling Objective 4
In completing this PSA, I organized and edited multiple shots into a cohesive final piece using industry-standard editing software. This included assembling footage, refining pacing, adjusting audio, and applying basic effects to strengthen clarity and impact. By shaping raw material into a polished, complete deliverable, I demonstrated my ability to use current editing tools and techniques to produce a finished media project.
